Shafik Bahou
Founder & Principal — actor, technologist, and cognitive scientist building at the intersection of entertainment, education, and AI.

Shafik Bahou is the founder of SynaQuest, a multidisciplinary company spanning strategic consulting, film production, and technology ventures. Raised in New England to Lebanese immigrants, his career bridges worlds that rarely intersect — from acting alongside George Clooney in a $32M box office feature to building cognitive analytics solutions at Deloitte for Fortune 500 clients.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University and a Master of Arts in Cognitive Sciences in Education from Columbia University, where he developed a project-based learning curriculum integrating Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey with STEAM principles. His acting training spans the William Esper Studio, the Labyrinth Theatre (co-founded by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman), and UCLA's professional programs in both acting and production.
At Deloitte, Shafik consulted in cognitive analytics and process automation for enterprise clients, building the technical foundation that now powers SynaQuest's consulting practice and AI ventures. As a SAG-AFTRA member with credits across film and television, he brings a rare dual perspective to storytelling — understanding both the art and the systems that support it.
Today, Shafik leads SynaQuest across its three divisions: Solutions (AI consulting and development), Films (a boutique production company with a developing slate of genre-driven features and series), and Ventures (internal technology platforms including Mindoa, an AI-powered human development ecosystem). His work is unified by a single conviction: that the most powerful innovations emerge when science, culture, and imagination converge — a philosophy often called "The Medici Effect."
